Baruffi Neto Triples Up

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

All the chips were in the middle with the cutoff (39,000) and Baruffi Neto (41,200) at risk. The small blind who barely covered the other two shouted "You can all eat my d**k!" before the cards were turned over.

Cutoff: {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Francisco Baruffi Neto: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The runout of {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} was as clean as could be for Baruffi Neto who flopped a set of aces. Sending the cutoff to the exit. The small blind had 2,300 chips remaining but stormed out of the Paris Ballroom with no sign of him coming back.

Action started when Tom Cannuli opened to 1,500 from the cutoff. Only the small blind player made the call.

The flop was {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and the small blind check-called a bet of 3,100 from Cannuli.

Both players checked the {8-Spades} turn. When the {j-Clubs} river came the small blind led out for 5,500. Cannuli took a few moments before flicking in a chip for the call.

"Good call, I've got nothing", said the small blind as he mucked his hand. Cannuli rolled over {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the queen-high straight and scooped the pot.

Straight Flush Sends Player For An Early Nappe

Level 4 : 300/500, 500 ante

With 8,000 in the middle and five players seeing a flop of {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} Craig Nappe in the small blind bet 8,000. Three players folded but the button moved all-in for 11,500. Nappe made the call.

Button: {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Craig Nappe: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}

The button had a useless flush draw, top pair and a gut-shot straight draw. Nappe had the better flush draw and a gut-shot straight draw of his own. The {2-Hearts} on the turn left the button drawing dead giving Nappe a flush. The {4-Hearts} sealed the deal giving Nappe a straight flush.
