Balanco Catches a Bluff

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On the turn with the board reading {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, Jonathan Balanco was in the small blind and checked to his opponent in the big blind who fired out a bet of 16,500. Balanco went into the tank for about 30 seconds before making the call.

The dealer dropped the {8-Hearts} on the river and Balanco quickly checked to his opponent as he pushed a bet of 32,000 across the line. Balanco took a few seconds and made the call. His opponent sighed as he mucked his hand face down and Balanco was awarded the pot without any cards being shown.

After losing a decently sized pot earlier, Humberto Brenes defended his big blind against a raised from under the-gun of 6,500.

The flop of {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} checked through to the turn of {2-Diamonds} that saw Brenes lead out for 7,000 which his opponent called.

Fuller Dodges the World to Eliminate Opponent

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

In a blind versus blind battle, the flop came {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and both the small blind and Riley Fuller had got all of their chips across the line and it was the small blind who was at risk for about 39,000.

Small Blind: {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Riley Fuller: {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Both players hit the flop hard as the small blind flopped a pair with a straight and flush draw, while Fuller flopped two pair. The {6-Diamonds} turn and {5-Clubs} river were safe for Fuller though as he dragged the pot and collected his $300 bounty.
