Connor Daynard Eliminated in 26th Place ($9,126)

Level 32 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Connor Daynard
Connor Daynard

Sebastian Guidez opened to 525,000 from early position and action folded to Connor Daynard in the small blind, who shoved their last 1,000,000 into the middle. Guidez made the call to put Daynard at risk.

Connor Daynard: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Sebastian Guidez: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

Daynard was ahead but not by much and fell behind after the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop. The {3-Diamonds} turn and {q-Clubs} brought him no help, ending Daynard's run in 26th.

Moorman Takes Huge Lead

Level 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

A player under the gun opened to 300,000 and was called by the cutoff. Alexander Burton moved all in for 1,400,000 from the button only to see Chris Moorman re-jam out of the small blind. Both the under the gun and cutoff players folded and Burton was at risk.

Alexander Burton: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Chris Moorman: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic race until the {3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop put Moorman into the lead. Burton did have a flush draw but unfortunately for him the {j-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river failed to improve his hand, sending him to the rail just shy of the final three tables. Moorman, meanwhile, has opened up a large gap at the top of the chip counts.

"Uncle Ron" Hinkle Triples; Covert Eliminated

Level 30 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Mason Hinkle
Mason Hinkle

Robert Covert, Alan Gendelman and Mason "Uncle Ron" Hinkle had all got their chips in the middle before the flop and Hinkle was at risk for 1,230,000 while Covert was at risk for roughly 1,800,000.

Robert Covert: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Mason Hinkle: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Alan Gendelman: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The dealer spread a flop of {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, pairing Hinkles ace and the {8-Diamonds} turn and {a-Clubs} river improved him to trip aces as he tripled up. Gendelman's pocket jacks were good for the side pot as he eliminated Covert from the tournament.

Ramirez Flops Quads; Eliminates Navarrete

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
James Ramirez
James Ramirez

James Ramirez raised in early position and Daniel Navarrete three-bet jammed for 1,235,000 next to act. The action folded back around to Ramirez as he went in the tank for about a minute. Eventually, Ramirez dropped some blue chips across the line to make the call.

Daniel Navarrete: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
James Ramirez: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Ramirez was in trouble until the flop came {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, giving him quads. The {7-Hearts} hit the turn, sealing the fate for Navarrete and the {3-Hearts} river was just a formality as Navarrete headed to the payout desk.

Nguyen Keeps Finding Premiums

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Phong Than Nguyen
Phong Than Nguyen

Stephane Genet shoved from the button and Phong Nguyen called out of the small blind. The big blind folded and Genet was officially at risk.

Stephane Genet: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Phong Nguyen: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Nguyen had found yet another premium hand and was in a good spot to send one more opponent to the rail. The {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop kept Nguyen ahead as did the {7-Diamonds} turn. No help came for Genet on the {k-} river, ending his deep run. Nguyen, meanwhile, appears to have captured the tournament chiplead.

Classic Cooler Sees Nguyen Chip Up

Level 26 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Phong Than Nguyen
Phong Than Nguyen

Adriano Scagnetti limped from middle position. Action folded around to Phong Nguyen in the big blind, who raised to 300,000. The limper responded by shoving and Nguyen snap-called.

Adriano Scagnetti: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Phong Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

It was an absolute cooler regardless of stack depth, though the current shallow average only made the sting worse for Scagnetti. The hand was not over yet, however, but the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop did keep Nguyen well in front. The {j-Diamonds} turn and {7-Diamonds} river bricked out to send a large pot Nguyen's way and eliminate Scagnetti in a cruel fashion.

Luck is on Moorman's Side

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

Tytus Kalberer shoved for 575,000 from the cutoff before Mitchell Hecht reshoved from the small blind for around 1,200,000. Chris Moorman in the big blind considered the decision for a moment before announcing a call.

Tytus Kalberer: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Mitchell Hecht: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Chris Moorman: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Hecht's pocket aces were a big favorite to take out Kalberer and double up off Moorman as the flop came {6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. The {10-Clubs} on the turn gave Moorman additional outs to a straight.

When the {8-Spades} fell on the river, the entire table let out a collective gasp as Moorman made his straight to knock out both players.

"Mr. Moorman. They told me you were good. They didn't tell me you were so lucky," tablemate David Perry said following the hand as Moorman stacked up more than 4,000,000.

Ronconi Gets a Double

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Darryl Ronconi
Darryl Ronconi

Darryl Ronconi, who finished second in last year's WSOP Event #17: $1,500 Millionaire Maker for $500,125, is enjoying another deep run in a large field WSOP bracelet event. Action folded to Jongwook Lee on the button who opened. Darryl Ronconi in the small blind responded with a three-bet shove, which Lee, after some consideration, called to put Ronconi at risk.

"We're flipping?" asked Ronconi before the cards had been turned over.

Darryl Ronconi: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Jongwook Lee: {q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The players were not in fact flipping, with Ronconi holding a fairly comfortable lead over his opponent. That lead only strengthened after the {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop. No help came for Lee on the {a-Spades} turn or {k-Spades} river, handing Ronconi a crucial double up while Lee dipped below 1,000,000.
