Razz

Michael Trivett: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{9-}{q-}{2-} / {x-}
Randy Ohel: {x-}{x-} / {6-}{2-}{q-}{7-} / {x-}

Michael Trivett and Randy Ohel were involved in a small tussle in which Ohel bet the last three streets. Trivett called and was shown the {a-}{8-}{4-} by Ohel for a seventy-six, which was good enough to win the pot and cement the good start for Ohel. On the same table is now also John Monnette, who jumped in recently and already chipped up.

Strelitz Scoops Silver With a Straight Flush

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 0 ante
Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

Omaha Hi-Lo

Several bets each went into the middle between Nate Silver and Daniel Strelitz throughout a board of {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} on which Silver ended up losing a bigger chunk of chips in showdown. He had the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{x-}{x-} for aces full of fours but Strelitz tabled the {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the nut nut, a straight flush.

He didn't even realise it at first only when it was pointed out to him by the other players at the table. "I knew I had a wheel and a flush," Strelitz responded in table chat.

Yockey Joins the Field

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Bryce Yockey was among the latest entries in the field and he immediately won a small pot in Omaha Hi-Lo. When raising the button, he was called by Thomas Taylor in the small blind, who then check-folded the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop.

Shortly after, Frankie O'Dell raised from under the gun to get called by Taylor on the button and Andres Korn in the small blind. On the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, Korn checked and O'Dell bet to earn calls from both opponents. Korn check-folded the {9-Hearts} turn to O'Dell's bet and Taylor's call.

After the {9-Spades} river, O'Dell bet and Taylor called as they chopped it with the {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for the former and the {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} for Taylor.

Kessler Hits the River

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Allen Kessler called from the small blind after a button raise from Daniel Strelitz, and check-called a bet on the {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Strelitz bet again on the {a-Diamonds} turn and Kessler called to see the {q-Spades} river.

Both players checked, and Kessler turned over {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} to remain close to starting stack.
