Just a Royal Flush for Wong

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Jerry Wong
Jerry Wong

Omaha Hi-Lo

Philip Long raised and was called by Jerry Wong, who then raised the {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop. On the {k-Clubs} turn, Wong bet and Long instantly folded.

Other players suspected a potential royal flush and sure enough, Wong exposed the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} with the words "gotta show that one".

Chung Fires Every Street

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Christopher Chung
Christopher Chung

Omaha Hi-Lo

Christopher Chung raised from early position and found two callers, John Racener on his immediate left and Eric Wasserson from the big blind.

The flop ran out {3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Wasserson checked in flow and Chung continued with a bet. Racener quickly folded and Wasserson made the call.

The {4-Clubs} hit the turn and Wasserson again check-called a bet from Chung.

On the {7-Hearts} river, Wasserson checked the final street and Chung fired the final bullet. After some thought, Wasserson laid it down.

"Were clubs good?" asked Wasserson.

"I had jack-high clubs," replied Chung.

"Jack-high clubs? Maybe I had the best high, I had ace-three," shared Wasserson.

"No," responded Chung. "Gin card on the turn."

"Nice hand," said Wasserson. "I keep getting scooped."

Wasserson Leaves Benson Short

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Eric Rodawig raised in middle position and Eric Wasserson flat-called from the cutoff, while Gary Benson also came along from the button.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and no action took place for about a minute before the table informed Rodawig the action was on him.

"Oh, shit!" Rodawig said before checking.

"I figured you didn't know it was on you. Especially when you said, 'Oh, shit!'" said Wasserson, who then checked.

Benson fired a bet and both opponents called. Wasserson then led out on the {5-Spades} turn and only Benson called. Wasserson checked on the {10-Diamonds} river and Benson checked back.

Wasserson tabled {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a pair of aces, which was good enough to scoop the pot.

Chait Tells Wasserson He Has a Good Hand, Then Wins

Level 19 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Craig Chait
Craig Chait

Craig Chait: {2-}{4-}/{3-}{10-}{5-}{8-}
Eric Wasserson: {x-}{x-}/{6-}{2-}{4-}{j-} - folded sixth street

Craig Chait completed showing a three and Wasserson made the call on his left showing an eight.

"I have a good hand," said Chait.

"You're not just raising with nothing there?" said Wasserson.

"I mean theoretically, yes, but not this time," replied Chait.

Wasserson found a deuce on fourth and bet.

"You don't have to call," said Wasserson. But Chait did call.

On fifth, Wasserson bet again and Chait went nowhere, making the call.

On sixth street, Chait hit an eight of his own and bet, Wasserson made the fold.

Chait showed {2-}{4-} for his hole cards.

"If you would have told me you had a good hand before I called, I would have folded. But you didn't, I already called," joked Wasserson.
