Wasserson Scoops a Big One, Chung Brought Low

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Eric Wasserson

Craig Chait: {x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}/{x-}
Eric Wasserson: {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}/{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Christopher Chung: {x-}/{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades}/{x-}

Craig Chait completed showing an ace and two players made the call, Eric Wasserson on his left and Christopher Chung.

Chait bet fourth, fifth, and sixth streets, and both Chung and Wasserson called all three, building a large three-way pot.

On seventh, Chait slowed down and checked. Wasserson thought for about 10 seconds and went for a bet. Chung and Chait both called.

"Trips," announced Wasserson, showing his two sixes in the hole. Chung banged the table in frustration as he looked at his cards.

No one made a low, so Wasserson's hand scooped it all to put him above two million.

Minor Chip Changes on Table One

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Limit Hold'em

Bryce Yockey recovered some of the previous losses without showdown against Ben Lamb before Andrew Yeh then lost some to Philip Long for the Brit to take over the lead on their table. Long bet the turn and river of a {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board and received calls from Yeh to win the pot with the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Lamb then took on Mike Gorodinsky and bet the {9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} turn for Gorodinsky to call before another bet on the {7-Spades} river won the pot uncontested.

Andres Korn Eliminated in 15th Place ($22,754)

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante
Andres Korn
Andres Korn

Limit Hold'em

Andres Korn saw his stack coming undone and was down to just 20,000 in chips and committed 15,000 of it as the small blind. John Racener raised in middle position and Korn threw another chip in the pot to be all in.

Andres Korn: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}
John Racener: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Korn had no place to hide as he was dominated and at risk. The flop came {k-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} to create plenty of chop potential, but the {7-Diamonds} on the turn was a tearjerker as it helped Racener reclaim his place in the lead with two pair.

The {3-Spades} on the river didn't change things and Korn was eliminated in 15th place after he did his time as the short stack and eventually saw all of his chips falling away from him.

Christopher Chung Eliminated in 14th Place ($22,754)

Limit Hold'em

Soon after the previous all-in showdown over on table one, the chips went in once more in a battle of the blinds between Christopher Chung and John Racener. On the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} turn, Chung's {j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} had second pair and a straight draw.

That was crushed by the {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for the top set by Racener but Chung still had four outs to survive with his gutshot.

However, the {j-Clubs} river only improved Racener to queens full of jacks and ended Chung's run in 14th place for $22,754.

Chait Takes It on the Flop

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

At the start of the Omaha Hi-Lo orbit, Paul Sokoloff opened from the cutoff and found resistance by Craig Chait in the small blind. As they headed to the {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop, Chait check-raised and Sokoloff almost immediately shook his head before tossing his cards into the muck.

Brad Ruben: {9-}{3-}/{a-}{10-}{2-}{q-}/{6-}
Andrew Yeh: {x-}{x-}/{5-}{k-}{q-}{x-Clubs} - folded sixth street
Bryce Yockey: {8-}{2-}{k-}{8-}/{4-}{6-}{10-}

Brad Ruben completed showing an ace, Andrew Yeh immediately two-bet, then Bryce Jockey three-bet. Back on Ruben, he went all in for his 75,000 and players went to the next street three-ways.

Yeh found a deuce on fourth and bet, Yockey called.

On fifth, Yeh bet again and Yockey called once more.

On sixth, Yeh kept firing, and having paired his queen, Yockey let his cards go.

"You need a three across," said Philip Long as Ruben peeled seventh.

He found a six and secured the full triple.

Andrew Yeh: {8-}{9-}{q-}{5-}{6-}{3-}
Jerry Wong: {a-}{9-}{k-} / {3-}{4-}{8-}{7-}

Jerry Wong had previously chopped in a multi-way pot and was then all-in and at risk shortly after against Andrew Yeh. Both had already meshed their boards and Wong ended up with an nine-eight-seven while Yeh had the slightly superior nine-eight-six.

"Fuck, one worse than last year," Wong joked on his way out as yet another deep run in a mixed game event came short of a shot at the coveted WSOP gold bracelet. He takes home $26,347 for the efforts and there are now 12 players remaining.

Lamb Misreads Hand; Loses A Bunch to Ruben

Level 20 : 30,000/60,000, 0 ante

Razz

Ismael Bojang got through with a bet on an open board of {5-}{9-}{4-}{4-} as he forced a fold from Philip Long, who had the {7-}{2-}{q-}{7-} exposed. Soon after the next duel emerged between Brad Ruben and Ben Lamb.

Ben Lamb: {x-}{x-} / {8-}{3-}{q-}{2-} / {x-}
Brad Ruben: {10-}{4-} / {7-}{a-}{10-}{5-} / {8-}

Ruben bet his lead until sixth on which Lamb raised and Ruben called. On seventh, Ruben check-called a bet and Lamb immediately sighed, then said "I misread my hand". Ruben tabled an eight-seven and almost replied "if I had not caught the eight", indicating that things may have very well ended differently.

As it stands, Lamb dropped to the shortest stack on table one while former short stack Ruben is suddenly ahead of two opponents.
