Eskandari and Boatman Bring Back Stacks Into Day 3 of Super Seniors

After 20 hours of play over two days, just 87 players remain from a starting field of 2,669 in Event #59: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold’em.

Two of the biggest stacks in the room entering Day 3 are Massoud Eskandari (1,860,000) and Barny Boatman (1,165,000).

Eskandari, who was born in Iran but resides in California, boasts more than $2,700,000 in recorded earnings and holds two World Series Of Poker circuit rings, to go along with 43 cashes.

Boatman, from England, holds two gold bracelets and has more than $3,600,000 in recorded earnings, with 67 cashes at WSOP events.

Both known crushers will take a big advantage into the day as they sit well above the chip average.

There are still plenty of contenders hot on their heels, including chip leader Robert Schuler (2,105,000), defending champion Jean-Luc Adam (775,000) of France, veteran WSOP dealer Carolyn Niekerk (1,465,000) Eric Van Der Burg (975,000) of the Netherlands, Day 1 chip leader Angelita Grayer (560,000) and Elizabeth Bennett-Martin (1,050,000).

Day 3 will consist of ten more 60-minute levels, and there will be 15-minute breaks after every two levels. Play will end after Level 30. With a 60-minute dinner break around 7:00 p.m. local time.

The plan is to play down to the final five players before returning for Day 4, but that is subject to change.
