Hof Busts Shi

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

In a blind versus blind situation, the flop was {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} when Natalie Hof sent 10,000 and Corine Shi shoved for a stack around 60,000. Hof didn't take long to make the call and they revealed their cards:

Corine Shi: {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Natalie Hof: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Hof already had top pair and the rest of the board didn't bring anything to Shi with the {7-Clubs} and {10-Spades} to bust her from the event.

Black Doesn't Slack, Fights Back, Attacks, and Stacks

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Juli Black raised to 10,000 from late position, action folded to Amanda Baker in the small blind. She three-bet to 35,000. Back on Black, she four-bet to 135,000. Baker moved all in for 231,000 effective, Black made the call and was at risk.

Amanda Baker: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Juli Black: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Black had the best of the two monsters. The board ran out {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} to lock up her full double and cut Baker's stack down.

Loman Takes from Nguyen

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jennifer Loman opened to 11,000 and got called by Thi Nguyen on the button and Nancy Nguyen in the big blind.

The flop gave {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades} and it checked to Loman who continued for 10,000. Only Nancy Nguyen called. On the {3-Hearts} turn, Nguyen quickly check-called for 12,000.

The {10-Diamonds} completed the board and both players checked. Nguyen tabled {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} but the pot was sent to Loman who showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of aces.

Poker Player Wins WSOP Main Event Satty in His Sleep...Literally

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
wsop.com
wsop.com

For most, the saying, "I could win that poker tournament in my sleep," is laughable at best. But not for Eric Goldstein, who fell asleep Wednesday night, and then woke up to discover he'd won an $80 satellite into the 2022 WSOP Main Event on WSOP.com.

Goldstein told PokerNews he forgot he was registered for the satellite, which only awarded one seat into poker's most prestigious annual tournament, a $10,000 buy-in event.

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Chenyil Liu opened in early position and Sondra Lacoy sent her last chips in the middle for a stack around 65,000. It came back to Liu who snap-called:

Sondra Lacoy: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Chenyi Liu: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Lacoy's hand was dominated and she didn't find enough help throughout the board {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} to make her way to the payout desk.
