Charlotte Van Brabander Eliminated in 23rd Place ($5,457)

Level 22 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Charlotte Van Brabander
Charlotte Van Brabander

Kultida Berman raised to 55,000 from the middle position and Charlotte Van Brabander three-bet jammed from the hijack. The action folded back to Berman who asked for a count. The dealer confirmed Van Brabander had 330,000 behind. Berman considered it for a bit before making the call with the bigger stack.

Charlotte Van Brabander: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Kultida Berman: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{k-Spades} for Berman to hit her set immediately and for Van Brabander to be left hoping for the runner-runner straight to come. The {a-Diamonds} on the turn dashed her hopes while the {2-Spades} completed the board to seal the deal for Van Brabander to bust in 23rd place.

Teusl Takes One from Kilpatrick

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a blind versus blind limped pot, the flop read {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Lori Kilpatrick check-called a small bet from Jessica Teusl for 30,000.

The same action happened on the {10-Spades} turn, this time for 125,000 and a {9-Spades} appeared on the river. Both players checked and Kilpatrick showed {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for two pair but the pot was sent to Teusl who held {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a better two pair.

Loman Scores a Double Up

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Marybeth Anderson raised on the button to 75,000. Jennifer Loman in the big blind responded with an all in raise of around 400,000 which Anderson called.

Jennifer Loman: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Marybeth Anderson: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came down {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} hitting a jack for Loman and with the {2-Spades} turn and {8-Hearts} river, that was all she needed to beat Anderson's pocket sevens and stay in the game.

Le Takes Chunk from Konnikova's Stack

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

With 150,000 in the middle, the flop read {4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Julie Le bet 75,000 from under the gun for Maria Konnikova to make the call from the cutoff.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and Le continued with a bet of 160,000 and was called again.

The river completed the board with the {k-Hearts} and Le took some time before firing a bet of 320,000 out. Konnikova contemplated it for a while, she glanced at Le, stared at the board, cut out calling chips, counted the remainder of her stack, and then made the call.

Le tabled the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} for the rivered set of kings. Konnikova smiled and mucked.

"I had queens," she admitted a few seconds later.

Natalie Hof Ramos
Natalie Hof Ramos

Natalie Hof opened in the hijack for 60,000 and Tiffany Michelle three-bet to 250,000. Hof didn't take long to announce all in for 820,000 and Michelle called with a higher stack:

Natalie Hof: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Tiffany Michelle: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

It was a typical flip situation and the board revealed {5-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} to give the winning hand to Hof with a pair of aces while Michelle fell in a short stack position.

Ruth Graham: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
