Brewer's Nut Flush Takes From Martini

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} completed board, Julien Martini was in the cutoff and facing a jam by Chad Brewer in the hijack for roughly 130,000. Martini thought about it and called.

Brewer tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the nut flush, and he secured the double as his French opponent's hand went into the muck.

Yoo Finds Ace to Survive

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Cheang Kit Yoo had moved in his stack of approximately 93,000 from the button and Laszlo Molnar called in the big blind.

Cheang Kit Yoo: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Laszlo Molnar: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Yoo was looking for an ace as the dealer spread the {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop to change nothing. However, the {a-Diamonds} hit the felt on the turn, and Yoo faded the case nine on the {6-Spades} river to secure the double.

Diaz Eliminated After Aces Cracked

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Adria Diaz: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Mike Watson: {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The table short stack found pocket rockets at the perfect time, however, the flop of {4-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} gave Watson hope. The {5-Hearts} turn was no help but the {9-Hearts} landed on the river to give Watson two pair and send Diaz to the rail, agonizingly short of the money.

Lehmanski Leaves

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Maxi Lehmanski
Maxi Lehmanski

Maxi Lehmanski had recently gotten his short stack up to 35,000 and was all in from early position against John Pannucci on the button.

Maxi Lehmanski: {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}
John Pannucci: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}

The {q-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop left Lehmanski in good shape for a double as the {k-Diamonds} fell on the turn, but the {a-Diamonds} spiked the river to put Pannucci back in front as Lehmanski hit the rail.

Tan Doubles Through Lehmanski

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Wee Yee Tan had gotten his 136,000 chips in from the button and was at risk against Maxi Lehmanski in middle position.

Wee Yee Tan: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Maxi Lehmanski: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The two were flipping, and the {j-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop put Tan in great shape for a double. The {3-Clubs} and {a-Spades} completed the board to confirm the result and leave Lehmanski with crumbs.
