D'Ambrosio Shoves Turn

Level 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jimmy D'Ambrosio was in a four-way pot on a board reading {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

D'Ambrosio put out a flop bet of 20,000 and only one opponent called. The turn brought the {j-Clubs} and the opponent checked.

"Felix, I like you. I'm all in," D'Ambrosio said before putting out a stack of chips. "It's more than 100,000."

The opponent thought for a moment and folded.

An orbit or so earlier, D'Ambrosio challenged table mate Christian Soto to a heads-up battle.

Yuan's Jacks Deliver Knockout Blow to Soma

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Leo Soma open jammed from early position for his final 45,000. He got one caller, Ye Yuan in the cutoff, who had Soma covered.

Leo Soma: {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Ye Yuan: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Soma would need considerable help to keep his pursuit of his second bracelet of the summer alive, but that help would never come on the {2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} runout, sending Soma to the rail.

Izadi Could Not Beat Kings For Okin

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

After a raise from a player in early position, Hamid Izadi announced all in for 94,000. Action folded to Zach Okin in the big blind and he reshoved over the top. The original raiser folded.

Hamid Izadi: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Zach Okin: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

Izadi ran into kings, and after a {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs} board, he was eliminated.

Sinishtaj Goes Runner-Runner to Triple Up

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Tony Sinishtaj
Tony Sinishtaj

Tony Sinishtaj open-shoved a short stack from under the gun and a player in middle position re-shoved behind him. The action folded to the big blind, who called.

Tony Sinishtaj: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Middle Position: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

"Great spot!" commented Michael Lech as he saw Sinishtaj's opponents were sharing each other's outs.

Nonetheless, the flop came {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} to bring an ace and have Sinishtaj drawing thin. The {j-Spades} on the turn gave him life and the {j-Diamonds} on the river gave him trips to secure him an unlikely triple-up, while his opponent's chopped up the side pot.

Matsuzuki Turns Broadway to Bust Set of Kings

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The pot had already grown to 81,000 before the {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop, when heads-up action was joined.

Dan Matsuzuki fired for 25,000 from the big blind, getting a call late position. Matsuzuki continued for another 40,000 on the {q-Hearts} turn. The big blind moved all in and Matsuzuki snap called with his opponent covered.

Opponent: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Dan Matsuzuki: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The opponent had flopped top set, but that was no good against the straight of Matsuzuki, who just needed to fade the board pairing on the river, which would give his opponent a full house or quads. He did so successfully, as the {9-Diamonds} on the river changed neither player's hand. Matsuzuki scooped the pot as his opponent was sent to the rail.

Grigorian Survives With Aces

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Chris Grigorian was down to 80,000 and decide to shove before the flop. He was called by a player on the button.

Chris Grigorian: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Opponent : {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

"Don't do it to me," said Grigorian to the dealer. The dealer did not do it as an {a-Diamonds} on the turn secured a double up for the Armenian, who can now think about the money as the bubble is coming soon.

Labat Is Cruising

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Antoine Labat
Antoine Labat

Antoine Labat currently has a lot of chips in front of him, more than 600,000. It was not about one hand, but rather the 2018 Main Event finalist busted lots of players.

"What can I say? For example, one player shoved with A-2 when I had sevens in the big blind, easy call. Another player called my three-bet preflop then jammed on a nine-high board with A-J when I had aces... I can't complain for now, my run is pretty hot," he said.
