Lin Trying New Games, Gets Three-Quarters

Ren Lin

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

Ren Lin, who told the PokerNews reporting team that he's trying new games today in the Omaha mix is holding his own so far.

In a recent four-way pot, Lin limped in middle position, as did the button, Kao Saechao in the small blind and a player in the big blind.

After the flop and turn were checked through on a completed board of {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs}, Lin bet the pot (1,500) on the river and was met by an all-in raise from the button for a bit over 4,000.

Saechao and the big blind folded and Lin made the call.

The button showed {j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the nut low and a pair of deuces. Lin tabled {6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut low as well, but with a pair of sixes to get the high end of the pot to take three-quarters from his short-stacked opponent.
