Leonard Hits The Rail

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Patrick Leonard moved all in preflop for his last roughly 300,000 and was called by Poorya Nazari.

Patrick Leonard: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Poorya Nazari: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

It was the classic kings into aces cooler and when the board ran out {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} the aces of Nazari held up and sent Leonard to the rail.

Hwang Finds Another Pot

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jisup Hwang opened to 45,000 preflop from the button and was only called by Phu Nguyen in the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Spades} and both players checked their option. On the {j-Spades} turn both players checked again.

The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and Nguyen checked a third time. Hwang slid out a bet of 65,000 and without much thought Nguyen tossed in chips for a call.

Hwang rolled over {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for the broadway straight and enough to take down the pot.

Baruffi Still Building

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

PokerNews joined the action on a four-way flop. It was Konstantin Angelov who was leading on a {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board, for 35,000. The middle position opponent called, as did Francisco Baruffi in the cutoff.

A {a-Spades} river came in and Angelov sized up to one blue 100,000 chip. It folded to Baruffi who made the call and tables {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for two pair, against the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs} of Angelov, who didn't seem very pleased with the outcome.

Saliba Wins Multi-Way Pot

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Vivian Saliba
Vivian Saliba

Vivian Saliba opened to 85,000 from early position and was called by Alexander Zaverukha next to act. It folded around to the big blind who came along as well.

On a flop of {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} all players checked. The {6-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn and the big blind checked. Saliba decided to move all in for 290,000 and Zaverukha went deep in the tank. He eventually let his hand go and the big blind quickly folded, awarding the pot to Saliba.

Amini Busts While Li Ascends In Three-Way Pot

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

On a flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, players checked around. When a {j-Hearts} turn card came out, it prompted a 70,000 bet from Scott Ruddell which was called by Pei Li from early position. However, Amir Ali Amini next to act decided this was his time to take a stand and moved all in for 445,000. Both Ruddell and Li called his jam to set up a river.

The {a-Clubs} completed the board and Ruddell slowed down, with no side pot to be won. Li then bet 1,200,000 and Ruddell frustratingly folded.

Li immediately showed {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for a rivered nut flush, as Amini flashed his holding before it was quickly mucked as he hit the rail.
