Ladies Hold Against Stiff Opposition

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Hyo Joo got it all in against two other opponents preflop, with Joo at risk.

Joo tabled {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} while both his opponents tabled {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

The flop was {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{k-Clubs} which gave each of Joo's opponents a pair of kings but Joo had flopped top set and the turn {10-Diamonds} gave him a full house which left his opponents drawing dead.

The meaningless {3-Spades} completed the board and Joo scored a triple-up.

Tens Good to Verderamo (This Time)

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Nicholas Verderamo got it all in preflop against his opponent preflop and his tournament life was on the line as he tabled his cards.

"i just busted the Venetian about thirty minutes ago with this hand," Verderamo said as he showed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

His opponent just shrugged as he rolled over {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for a classic flip.

The board on the turn was {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} with Verderamo in the lead but any ace, king, or diamond would give his opponent the win.

And sure enough, a diamond did come on the river but lucky for Verderamo it was the {10-Diamonds} to give him a full house to beat the opposing flush.

Zaki Collects $2,004 Bounty From Berry Johnston

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Berry Johnston
Berry Johnston

Justin Zaki was spotted with the Berry Johnston bounty in front of him as the hand was retold.

Zaki held {a-}{a-} vs the {k-}{8-} of Johnston who flopped two pair as the flop came {k-}{8-}{10-}. But the 1986 WSOP Main Event champion and Hall of Famer was counterfeited as the turn and river came {j-} and {j-} to give Zaki the better two pair and make him $2,004 richer.

Weinman Goes on a Tear

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Daniel Weinman and Nicholas Lee got all the chips in the middle preflop with Weinman at risk of elimination.

Daniel Weinman: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Nicholas Lee: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Weinman was already way in the lead, and the board runout of {5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} held him there as he scooped the pot for a big double up.

The very next hand, Weinman called an all in with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and with a board of {j-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} he eliminated that player and chipped up even more.
