Kim's Aces Hold Up

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Jo Kim was heads-up in early position against the small blind. There was around 12,000 in the pot and the board read {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Clubs}. Action was checked to Kim and she bet 5,000 and received a call.

The {q-Spades} on the river was checked by both. "Did you get quads again?" asked Kim, "Show me your cards." and her opponent flipped over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Kim sighed with relief as she showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} to take down the pot .

Pomonis Doubles After Cooler

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

There was 62,500 in the middle on a completed board of {6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and the under the gun player moved all in. Keith Pomonis in the cutoff appeared perplexed at the shove, but made the call for 34,500.

Keith Pomonis: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Under The Gun: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

"Oh thank god!" exclaimed Pomonis as their opponent revealed pocket kings as he genuinely feared quad tens from under the gun.

While Pomonis stacked their chips he took in a sharp intake of breath as adrenaline coursed through his body.

River Jam Takes it for Resurreccion

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Three players paid 900 a piece to see the {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Robert Resurreccion checked from under the gun to Andreas Kniep in early position. He fired for 1,800. The middle position player got out of the way while Resurreccion made the call.

On the {q-Diamonds} turn, Resurreccion checked called the continuation bet of 4,100 from Kniep, leading to the {2-Spades} river. Resurreccion again checked to Kniep, who fired his biggest barrel yet, worth 13,000. Resurreccion thought for a bit before moving all in, a raise to 43,000. This sent Kniep into the tank.

"hmm wow," Kniep said, perplexed by the jam, "short day for me." Kniep would be the player at risk if he were to call. Eventually, he made the laydown, giving Resurreccion the pot. Resurreccion flashed the {q-Spades}, giving him a full house, before raking in his winnings.

Luera Takes One

Level 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With a preflop raise, there was 700 in the middle and three players staring at the {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. It was checked around to Charlie Leura on the button who bet 700 and received a call from Brian Kent in the small blind.

The turn was a {10-Hearts} and Kent once again checked to Luera who fired out a 1,200 bet which Kent called.

An {a-Clubs} fell on the river and Kent check-folded to Luera's 2,500 bet and he took it down without having to show.

Romanos Scores Early Double Up

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

After the big blind raised it up to 2,900, action was back on Michael Romanos in the small blind. He moved all in for his remaining 15,700 chips. "Take your time," he told his opponent. After a bit in the tank, that opponent made the call, putting Romanos at risk in just the first level of the day.

Michael Romanos: {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Big blind: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Romanos was behind only briefly as the {a-Hearts} appeared in the window on the {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop to give him top pair. The {7-Diamonds} turn and {j-Spades} river changed nothing, and Romanos scooped the early double up.

Quick Start For Esposito

Level 1 : Blinds 100/100, 100 ante

There was 4,300 in the middle on the flop of {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and the small blind bet 1,600 and was called by John Esposito in the hijack.

The {9-Clubs} on the turn saw the small blind bet 3,100 once again Esposito called.

The small blind slowed down on the {3-Spades} river and checked. Esposito also checked. The small blind revealed the {3-Clubs} but Esposito turned over {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} to take down the pot.
