Byers Stacking Chips and Having Fun

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Byers, an attorney from Kentucky, has been an unmistakable presence here on Day 1b, his loud laugh and table banter able to be heard throughout the Gold section.

In a recent hand, Byers raised to 2,000 from the cutoff and the small blind called. The flop came {8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Byers continued for 6,000.

The small blind called, then folded to another bet of 20,000 on the {9-Spades} turn.

Before the next hand, the {9-Diamonds} was exposed. "Nine of diamonds? I got to raise now," Byers said as he put in 2,000 again.

Three players called to the flop {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and checked through to the {6-Clubs} turn. The big blind bet 2,000 and only Byers called.

"What do you want," Byers asked his lone remaining opponent.

"The next card," was the reply.

The river was the {a-Spades} and Byers splashed in a few chips, eliciting a quick fold.

"That's what I got," Byers said as he flashed the {5-Diamonds} before beginning to dance.
