Teusl Stays Alive Via Chop

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The flop read {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Jessica Teusl moved all in from the big blind for 7,500 into a pot of about the same amount close to 8,000.

Alexandre Amiel called in the hijack. Paul Snead was on the button and thought a bit before raising to 35,000. Amiel reluctantly gave it up.

Snead had flopped the goods as he tabled the {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} straight. Teusl was on the verge of elimination with the {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. The turn was the {q-Clubs} and the river saved the 2022 WSOP Ladies Event champion as the {10-Spades} came off to give both players identical straight and therefore chop the pot.
