Lucky Sevens for Polson

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Lawrence Ma raised to 2,500 from late position and received calls from Javier Gomez, Eric Polson and Vanessa Kade. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and all four checked.

A {7-Clubs} turn had Kade and Ma checking to Gomez who bet 3,800. Polson called while the other two got out of the way to let them battle it out.

The {a-Diamonds} on the river didn't slow down Gomez who fired out another bet of 7,800 which Polson called. Gomez showed {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for trip aces but Polson flipped {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for sevens full of aces which was good to take down the pot.

Barry Greenstein

Three-time bracelet winner Barry Greenstein was in the action on Day 2d. An early-position player limped in for 1,200 and it folded to Greenstein in the hijack who raised to 5,000 and only the limper made the call.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and early position checked to Greenstein who bet 5,000, which was enough to fold out his opponent and take down the pot.

Zamani Mixing it Up

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Martin Zamani was captured in a series of hands where he was talkative with his opponents and getting involved in hands. From the button, he raised to 3,000. Big stack Padriag O'Neill three-bet to 11,500 from the big blind. Zamani called.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. "Not so fun now is it" said Zamani with a smile as both players checked.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds}. Zamani bet 10,000 and O'Neill folded. Zamani tabled {a-}{q-}.

He won another hand with ace-queen against a different opponent just a couple of hands later

With an all in shove from Calogero Troia for around 23,000 the only contender to take him on was Jacob Ferro on the button. Chips went in and cards went up.

Calogero Troia: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Jacob Ferro: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and with no help for either of their hands, Ferro's nines held up and Troia was sent to the rail.

Strickland Gets it in Good

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A late-position player had opened for 2,500 on a short stack, the player on the button called. Eli Strickland moved all in for a bit over 20,000.

The original opener decided to go with his hand and moved all in himself, having less than Strickland. The player in between folded and they were off to a flop.

Opponent: {j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Eli Strickland: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Strickland was in good shape to score the knockout, and the {a-}{9-}{9-}{7-}{k-} board kept him in the lead and send one to the rail.
