Day 1 Completed
Norbert Szecsi took home the title and the hardware at the 2022 WSOP [Online] $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Freezeout. The field started with 218 entrants before being whittled down to just Szecsi.
This is Szecsi's third WSOP bracelet. He had previously won the 2018 WSOP Europe Event #6: €1,650 Mixed Pot-Limit Omaha/No-Limit Hold'em for a cash of €86,956 ($109,128) and the 2013 WSOP Event #42: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em for a cash of $345,037.
His win today earned him $288,850.

1st | Norbert "Balkan500" Szecsi | Hungary | $288,850 |
2nd | Tony "Panoramic" Dunst | United States | $168,950 |

6th | Phil "HeyGuys" Galfond | United States | $52,320 |
7th | Michael "mikejozoff" Jozoff | United States | $39,240 |
8th | Adam "PHsGoldShoes" Hendrix | United States | $26,160 |
The first half of the final table was eliminated early into proceedings. First to fall was Adam "PHsGoldShoes" Hendrix. Hendrix shoved with ace-jack suited against "qpoker205"'s pocket queens. After the board bricked, Hendrix was sent home in eighth place for a cash of $26,160. Michael "mikejozoff" Jozoff followed quickly behind in seventh, busting before action had been picked back up following Hendrix's elimination. Jozoff took a cash of $39,240.
Three-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil "HeyGuys" Galfond was next to the rail, in sixth place. Galfond moved in with ace-king offsuit against Greg "DustedYou" Merson's pocket queens. Neither over card hit, send Galfond to the rail for a cash of $52,320.
Taylor "galactar" Paur, owner of two WSOP bracelets, finished in fifth place. He moved in with ace-jack offsuit against "qpoker205" with ace-queen offsuit. The board provided no help, as Paur took home the fifth place prize of $63,220.
The final four at the table each hung around for a bit, before "qpoker205" was eliminated in fourth. With pocket jacks, they moved in against Merson who had pocket kings. The board failed to provide the help they needed, as they took home the fourth place prize of $74,120.
The last to fall before heads-up action was 2012 WSOP Main Event winner Merson. Merson moved all in with king-seven offsuit as the small stack. Both Szecsi and Tony "Panoramic" Dunst both called. After Szecsi bet the flop, Dunst got out of the way. Merson was in rough shape as Szecsi flipped over king-ten offsuit with no help having come on the flop. Neither the turn nor river would help him either, as Merson was knocked out in third, taking home $96,465.
The final player to fall was Dunst. Norbert Szecsi had been slowly increasing his chip lead for some time. After doubling up through and overtaking "qpoker205" for the chip lead, Szecsi had watched his stack grow from just north of 2,000,000 to over 4,300,000 entering the final hand of play.
Dunst moved all in with king-four offsuit. Szesci made the call with ace-two offsuit. Dunst may have had hope for a fleeting moment, as he paired his four on the flop, but any hope quickly faded when Szecsi paired his ace on the turn. After the brick on the river, Dunst had been eliminated in second place, good for a cash of $169,950.
Congratulations to Norbert Szecsi on winning his third career WSOP bracelet!
Tony "Panoramic" Dunst wasted no time in moving all in as the small stack of 562,236. Norbert "Balkan500" Szecsi made the call with just under 5,000,000 behind. The players tabled their hands.
