Weinman Busts Kirkland With Quads

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Daniel Weinman
Daniel Weinman

On a completed board of {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} with around 14,000 in the middle, the action was picked up with 24,000 in chips in front of Freddie Kirkland. He had fewer than that behind and was in the tank, as he faced the shove by Daniel Weinman for 41,200.

Eventually, Kirkland sigh-called and Weinman rolled over the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} for quads queens to score the knockout. Kirkland briefly exposed {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the nut flush before heading out of the tournament area.

Bissinger Boosts Stack and Shows a Semi-Bluff

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Heads-up to the {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds} river, Dan Gannon bet 7,500 with around two times as much behind and Christopher Bissinger then raised it up to 25,000 with the far larger stack. Gannon reluctantly folded and was shown the {10-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for the bottom pair.

Tran Felts Felts

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

In a preflop all-in contest between two of the shorter stacks in the field, Alan Felts and Quan Tran got their chips into the middle with near identical stack sizes.

Alan Felts: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Quan Tran: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop left Felts with a mountain to climb and he found no miracle on the {5-Clubs} turn nor {8-Clubs} river. Both stacks were counted and the 17,100 by Felts were covered by a notch.

Foutty Doubles Through Moses

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Steve Foutty three-bet jammed for the last 15,600 in the big blind and was called by David Moses on the button.

Steve Foutty: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}
David Moses: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The "Grinch hat" of Moses had a flip and gained more equity on the {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop with the gutshot straight draw. However, both the {5-Spades} turn and the {8-Hearts} river were blanks and the pocket pair of Foutty locked up the double.

More for Vranken Without Showdown

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Four ways to the {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop with 1,000 each invested, Antoine Vranken in the big blind was the only one to check-call a bet worth 2,500 by Charles Hepler. The {7-Clubs} turn was checked by both and the {j-Spades} fell on the river. Vranken now bet 5,000 and that won the pot uncontested.

Ruben Adds to His Growing Stack

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

The button raised it up to 1,000 and was called by Brad Ruben in the small blind, Christina Gollins in the big blind also came along. All three players opted to check the {9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and the {2-Spades} turn followed. Ruben now bet 3,100 and collected the pot once Gollins and the button sent their cards into the muck.
