Tantillo Scores a Knockout

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Fausto Tantillo
Fausto Tantillo

A shorter stack pushed all-in for 6,400 and received one caller. Fausto Tantillo then three-bet to 17,000 on the button to force out the blinds including Frank Funaro and the cold-caller also got out of the way as well.

Short stack: {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Fausto Tantillo: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

On a board of {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, the pocket pair of Tantillo remained ahead and he scored the knockout.

Bissinger Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Four ways with 3,000 each invested to the {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop, Christopher Bissinger bet 5,000 out of the small blind. Only Michael Simhai called on the button before the {3-Spades} followed on the turn. Bissinger now fired a bet worth 25,000 and Simhai folded with fewer than that behind.

Latest Batch of Counts and an Elimination

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Jerrie Oconnor was last spotted with a stack just shy of what she started with but the chair was since vacated and she apparently got it in with pocket kings versus pocket queens only for a queen to appear.

Towards the end of level four, Aleksejs Ponakovs and [Removed:599] appear to be the two chipleaders with more than five times the starting stack.

Nguyen Takes From Sawers With a Straight Flush

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Huy Nguyen
Huy Nguyen

Heads-up to the {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, Huy Nguyen check-raised from 3,000 to 8,000 and was called by Kathy Sawers. Nguyen then bet the {8-Spades} turn for 4,000 to receive a call and bet another 15,000 on the {2-Clubs} river.

Sawers went into a brief tank and then called as Nguyen rolled over the {7-Spades}{5-Spades} for a straight flush. "That's usually good enough to win the pot," David Moses chimed in and Sawers nodded before sending her cards into the muck.

Lucky Double for Zoeller

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Patrick Zoeller was all-in for a short stack of just 11,900 and needed spades or an ace when he got it in with the {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. Jonah Labranche had him crushed with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} but Zoeller got there on the {j-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Hearts} river to stay in contention.

Kopp Chips Up With a Full House

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Katie Kopp
Katie Kopp

Heads-up to the {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} turn, Gary Bodley bet 3,000 and received a call by Katie Kopp from one seat over. Bodley then bet another 6,000 on the {a-Spades} river and Kopp raised to 20,000 within a very short time span. That immediately sent Bodley spinning and he eventually sigh-called.

Kopp tabled the {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a full house and Bodley mucked what appeared to be {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for trips aces.

Vickrey Scores Urgently Needed Double; Sengphet No More

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

La Sengphet and Chris Vickrey had last been spotted with short stacks and the former was moved to a table that also features fellow WSOP Circuit Caribbean ring event winner Nicola Basile.

Vickrey's open shove for the last 5,600 in the cutoff was called by the big blind and the former tabled the {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. He was up against {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and remained ahead throughout the {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Clubs} board.

Sengphet, in the meanwhile, was sent to the rail. "Annnnd busto. Aq to 77s. 734 flop. No sweat. Not meant to be," she said on her way out after seemingly losing every showdown hand throughout the last two hours.

Quads But no Full Double for Jablonski

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With 29,000 in the middle to the {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} river, Stan Jablonski moved all-in for the last 13,900. That sent his opponent into the tank as he mulled over the possible hand combinations, even mentioning pocket queens and kings. The fold followed and Jablonski indeed flashed the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for flopped quads before raking in the pot.

Ponakovs Scores a Knockout

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Aleksejs Ponakovs
Aleksejs Ponakovs

Aleksejs Ponakovs was all smiles after he had just knocked out a short-stacked Derin Goodman. His {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} had been well ahead of the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} of Goodman in a preflop contest and there was no miracle escape on a board of {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, boosting the stack of the High Roller regular and Event #42: $100,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em gold bracelet winner further.
