Eveslage Wins Small Showdown Pot

Level 12

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

John Racener made it 6,500 to go and was called by Chad Eveslage in the big blind. Eveslage discarded two while Racener patted and they checked. Eveslage tabled a 10x9x7x3x2x and that won the pot.

While the hand played out, Mike Gorodinsky and Jordan Siegel had poked fun at Eveslage for his run-good in mixed games.

"I met him the first time last year. When we played Badeucey, he asked me if I want to see his cards to learn the game," Siegel told a brief story.

Another Double for Robl

Level 12

2-7 Triple Draw

Andrew Robl was in a heads-up pot against Ari Engel and had already committed the majority of his stack before the third draw.

Picking things up after that, Robl moved all in and Engel quickly called. Robl showed 75432 to beat out the 86432 of his opponent for yet another double.

Hellmuth Continues to Trend Upwards

Level 12

Badacey

Phil Hellmuth started the day with a mere 9,000 in chips but has since added a zero to his total as he nearly closed the gap to Christopher Claassen and is even with [Removed:508] on his table.

The last hand before the break brought a split pot between Crivello and Hellmuth when the 8 / 7543 of Crivello earned half a pot with the superior Badugi, while Hellmuth with the 3 / 765A narrowly missed out on the scoop.

Robl Doubles Through Katz With Aces Full

Level 11
Andrew Robl
Andrew Robl

Omaha 8 or Better

Cary Katz opened to 8,000 on the button and Andrew Robl three-bet to 12,000 in the small blind with just two bets behind. Katz called.

Robl bet on the 4QA flop and Katz called. Robl then moved all in for 3,000 on the 8 turn and Katz confirmed the amount before calling.

"That's a good sign, right?" Katz said as he made the reluctant call.

Andrew Robl: AK104
Cary Katz: KJ87

Robl was ahead with aces and fours while Katz had flush and Broadway draws. The A river gave Katz a flush but also gave Robl a full house as he scooped the pot to double up.

"Aces full? What, are we playing online?" asked Katz. You always hit the perfect card."

"That's my specialty," replied Robl.

The Badeucey Beast Strikes Again

Level 11

Badeucey

Chad Eveslage started the day in the middle of the pack but he has since become one of the chip leaders. It came as no surprise that he picked Badeucey as his game of choice and then took most of the chips of Andrew Brown before the latter was spotted on his way to the rail.

The latest showdown pot saw Brown pay off after the final draw but could not beat the nine-nine of Eveslage.

Paur Chops With Hennigan

Level 11

Big O

Three ways to the K73 flop, Taylor Paur in the small blind and John Hennigan in the big blind checked to Zachary Freeman, who bet 8,000 on the button. Paur jammed for the last 33,500 and Hennigan called while Freeman folded.

Taylor Paur: A6632
John Hennigan: KK984

Paur was freerolling on the 8 turn with the made low but couldn't improve to a flush on the 4 river for them to split the pot.
