Gupta Nearly Triples; Then Doubles Edwards

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ashish Gupta
Ashish Gupta

Ashish Gupta was the second-biggest stack entering a three-way all-in showdown in which Justin Bonomo had two players at risk.

The shortest stack tabled the AQx while Gupta had a pair in 77. Bonomo had both of them crushed with the KK but Gupta made quads on the 10737J runout.

Shortly after, however, Gupta suffered a setback when he flipped against Tom Edwards for 40,500 in chips.

Tom Edwards: 88
Ashish Gupta: AQ

The pair remained ahead all the way on a KJ332 board, as Gupta's stack was cut into more than half. Moments later, the vacated seat at the table was filled by Phil Hellmuth.
