D'Ursel Bad Beats Reard for a Double
Dinesh Alt lost the penultimate hand of the level against Jared Jaffee when the 8♠8♣ of the latter was good for a medium-sized pot with two streets of action on a 5♣5♦3♦9♠Q♥ board. In the last hand before the dinner break, Alt then opened to 60,000 and Alexandre Reard in cutoff three-bet to 180,000.
Igor D'Ursel four-bet jammed for 415,000 on the button and Alt folded, while Reard snap-called.
Igor D'Ursel: J♠J♦
Alexandre Reard: K♦K♠
The dominated pair flopped a set on Q♥J♣10♦ while Reard had an open-ended straight draw. Nothing changed on the 6♥ turn and 6♣ river as D'Ursel improved to a full house, cutting a dent into Reard's stack.
Right after that, the 31 remaining players went on a scheduled 60-minute dinner break. Action will resume at approximately 7.32 p.m. local time.
