Gerhart Takes From Clegg

Level 16 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Kevin Gerhart opened from under the gun and was called by Adam Clegg on the button.

On the first draw, Gerhart took two cards while Clegg opted for two. Gerhart then checked and called after Clegg bet.

The second draw saw both players take the same number of cards as on the previous draw with Gerhart check-calling another bet from Clegg.

Both players stood pat on the final draw and then checked to showdown. Gerhart tabled J932 which prompted Clegg to muck his hand, sending the pot over to Gerhart.

Chad Chops it Up

Chad Eveslage
Chad Eveslage

Chad Eveslage and Hisashi Yamanouchi got involved early on day 2.

Everslage is probably the form player so far at WSOP 2023, having claimed two bracelets already — but he couldn't get the better of Yamanouchi this time.

After both players drew two for their final two pulls, Everslage bet on the end and was called. He showed X32A and Yamanouchi tabled X32A.

The duplicate clubs did not play and the players chopped the pot.

Marsh Sends McCoy Packing

Level 16 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

William Marsh opened on the button and was called by Gary McCoy in the big blind.

McCoy took two cards on the first draw while Marsh decided to draw one after which McCoy check-raised a bet from his opponent. Marsh came back over the top and, after some button clicking, McCoy got the remainder of his chips into the middle.

Both players patted on the second and third draws. Marsh then showed down 873A which was strong enough to force McCoy out of the tournament.

Kevin Gerhart
Kevin Gerhart

There was a flurry of betting action before the first draw, which ended with Nate Silver and Kevin Gerhart heads up and a big pot brewing.

Both players stood pat. Silver checked, Gerhart bet, Silver called again. This time Silver decided to draw one. Gerhart patted and bet. Silver called once more.

The same action repeated on the third draw but after Gerhart bet this time, Silver folded.

"Do you wanna see it?", Gerhart enquired. Silver replied in the affirmative and Gerhart tabled J542.

The hand left Silver on fumes and he busted shortly afterwards.
