Terrence Chan Eliminated in 12th Place ($6,923)

Level 27 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Terrence Chan
Terrence Chan

Terrence Chan opened on the button and was called by Matt Vengrin in the small blind as well as Danny Tang in the big blind.

Vengrin and Chan both took one card on the first draw while Tang opted for three. Action then checked to Chan, who bet and was met by a raise from Vengrin. Tang made the call as did Chan to keep action three-handed heading to the second draw.

On the second draw, Vengrin stood pat. Meanwhile, Tang and Chan each took one, with Tang folding after Vengrin bet. Chan responded with a raise, leaving himself just a few chips behind. Vengrin reraised and Chan called off for his tournament life.

Vegrin patted the final draw but Chan decided to take one, turning over 732, behind the K653 of Vengrin. "It's red" said Chan as he peeled his fourth card. Though the right suit, the 7 was of no help to the at risk player, sending Chan to the rail in 12th place.

Michael Rodrigues and Jon Turner in the blinds drew two cards each. Action went bet, call.

Rodrigues drew one and Turner stayed with two. Rodrigues bet again, putting Turner all in. The Portuguese patted and Turner drew two again.

Rodrigues tabled J104A and Turner showing 52A slowly revealed his final card to be Q, giving him a badugi but not a good enough one to keep him in the tournament.

Both players took one card on the initial draw after which Leverty bet and then moved all in after Vengrin raised. Vengrin quickly called.

The second and third draws saw both players again take one card with Leverty's 10742 falling to the Q32A of Vengrin to send him to the payout desk in 10th place.

Michael Rodrigues opened in the cutoff and Jack O'Neill three-bet all in on the button. Yingui Li called out of the big blind as did Rodrigues to send action three-way to the first draw.

Li and O'Neill both took one card while Rodrigues stood pat after which Li check-called a bet from Rodrigues.

The same drawing pattern took place on the second draw with Li checking once more but this time opting to raise after Rodrigues bet and got the call.

On the final draw Li and O'Neill both drew one card with Rodrigues again declining to take a card. Action then checked to showdown with Rodrigues tabling 10643, prompting Li to muck. O'Neil turned over 876, meaning he was drawing live. His last card, however, was the 9, bringing his tournament to a close in 9th place
