Taylor Makes Quads

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Thomas Taylor
Thomas Taylor

Sungbin Ma and Thomas Taylor were heads-up to the flop, where Taylor moved all in dark. The flop came 2A7 and Ma made the call.

Thomas Taylor: AAJ7
Sungbin Ma: 9875

Taylor's set of aces needed to dodge Ma's straight draw, but the A turn locked up the hand with quads. The 6 river completed the board, giving Taylor a big double.

At a nearby table, Sylvain Naets hit the rail.

Ciao Ciao, Zhang

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

On a board reading QQ987, Zhihao Zhang was facing a raise from Stephen Nahm that would put him all in after he had bet the river.

Zhang took his time with the decision, double checking how much he'd have behind if he folded. He eventually threw out some chips to call, but the price would be all of them as Nahm rolled Q99Xx for top boat.

Frustrated, Zhang showed that he had Q8XxXx for the second place boat. He'll have to settle for 31st place this time.

Clotar Ducks Elimination

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Eric Fields raised from early position and called when Paul Clotar moved all in from the big blind.

Paul Clotar: AKJ2
Eric Fields: AKQ5

The 2410 flop gave Clotar a pair of deuces, while Fields could not connect on the 8 turn or 9 river. Clotar's pair was enough to earn the double-up and stay alive.

Karpov Ejects Matheny

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Glib Karpov had Michael Matheny all in and at risk preflop. Cards were soon on their back.

Michael Matheny: K10108
Glib Karpov: AQQ8

The board ran out 2JA2J and Karpov improved to a pair of aces, albeit unnecessary, and Matheny was out in 32nd place out of a field of 2,017.

Khomutetsky is Here and Alive

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Hyndi Khomutetsky
Hyndi Khomutetsky

Cards were on their backs and three players had the chips in the middle.

Middle Position: A5K9
Hyndi Khomutetsky: AQA7
Mike Gorodinsky: QJ109

The flop rolled 667 and Khomutetsky was further in the lead when the 7 came on the turn. The only card she needed to fade on the river was a heart and the 4 obliged.

"Thank the baby poker Jesus!", said Khomutetsky before she had another sip of her beer. It seems we won't be able to let this lady slide under the radar any longer, as she now has well over a million in chips.

Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

Eli Elezra fired a bet of 85,000 on the 5J3 flop, which was called by Hyndi Khomutetsky in the small blind. Mike Gorodinsky then raised the pot from the big blind, with Elezra moving all in behind. Khomutetsky took a moment before getting out of the way.

Eli Elezra: AJ43
Mike Gorodinsky: AKKJ

Elezra was in the lead with two pair, but the 2 turn gave Gorodinsky a flush. "Not that deuce" said Elezra, as the 10 completed the board to end his tournament run.
