For It Was Whitton

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Robert Zarzycki got his last few big blinds into the middle and was isolated by the bigger stack of Michael Whitton.

Robert Zarzycki: 6647
Michael Whitton: AQJJ

The board came down all Broadway cards and since Whitton had the suits covered, there was hardly a sweat on the turn ore river, as all Zarzycki could catch was a six.

Frederici Doubles Again

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Gheorghe Butuc opened from early position and called when Seth Frederici moved all in. "Please don't have aces" said Frederici as the cards were turned over.

Seth Frederici: AK53
Gheorghe Butuc: KK84

"I can beat Kings" claimed Frederici, as the J94 brought a flush draw. The 7 turn completed Frederici's flush while the 5 river completed the board to cement another double-up.

Ronald Keijzer was all in against Jorge Hou, with Hou at risk.

Jorge Hou: KQ76

Hou took the lead after the 2K4 flop, but Keijzer connected with the J turn to make two pair. The 2 river left Keijzer with a full house, as Hou's tournament run came to and end.

Dentale Ends It for Weisman

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Dylan Weisman
Dylan Weisman

PokerNews saw Dylan Weisman collecting their belongings to exit the tournament area and Michael Dentale still had the AAx710x in font of him. The last time these two clashed, Weisman had found the double. There was no such luck this time, as it was reported that Weisman had the QJ107 and was unable to improve to beat Dentale's aces.

Dentale had only good things to say of Weisman, remarking that he's an excellent player and that it was a pleasure to play with him.

Weisman will be one to watch in Omaha events throughout the summer.

Rand Up in the Standings

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Kevin Rand placed a bet of 36,000 on a flop that read J810 and was promptly raised to 132,000 by a player who chose to remain anonymous. Both players got the rest of the chips in and cards were quickly on the backs.

Anonymous Player: AKQ8x
Kevin Rand: AJJK

Rand had flopped a monster with top set and the flush draw to go with it. His opponent was drawing thin with a broadway wrap.

The turn and river were both bricks and Rand was catapulted over to over two million in chips.

Frederici Finds the Double

Gheorghe Butuc called the shove from short stack Seth Frederici, with players wishing Frederici good luck as the cards were tabled.

Seth Frederici: AQJJ
Gheorghe Butuc: AKQ4

Frederici's pair of jacks held the lead through the 694 flop, though Butuc picked up a flush draw. The 2 turn and 8 river changed nothing, with another playing noting the Frederici was "back in it now".

Weisman is the Good Hand Kid

Level 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Dylan Weisman
Dylan Weisman

On a board reading 644A5, Dylan Weisman had placed an all in wager for 128,000 on the river and Michael Dentale was at a decision. He spent a bit of time trying to get a read on Weisman, but eventually gave him a crying call.

Weisman quickly tabled, 4578 for the rivered full house and Dentale made mention he knew he probably wasn't bluffing but he flashed the AK7x3x to show he felt he was just a little too strong to fold with his made straight.

"Good hand, kid... good hand." said Dentale in a way only someone from the east coast could.
