Shimizu Wins With a Flush

Joe McKeehen raised and Nozomu Shimizu was the lone caller from the big blind.

The flop was 3♠5♠8♣ and Shimizu check-called a bet from McKeehen.

Both players checked the 8♠ turn and the river was J♠. Shimizu checked and then called when McKeehen bet.

"Jack," McKeehen said as he turned over Q♣J♥. "Flush?"

Shimizu indeed had the flush and he turned over Q♦7♠ to take the pot.

McKeehen lost the hand but he has been floating around the 1,000,000 mark as the tournament navigates its way through a long bubble.
