Johns Wins With Nines

Brian Lieberman raised on the button and Ian Johns defended his big blind.

Johns check-called a bet from Lieberman on the A95 flop and then both players checked down on the J turn and 7 river.

Johns turned over K9 for a pair of nines, which got a "Nice hand," from Lieberman as he mucked — sending the pot Johns' way.

Okamura Takes From Silver

Nate Silver raised from the cutoff and found one caller in Motoyoshi Okamura from the big blind.

Okamura check-called a bet from Silver on the 96A flop and K turn, and then both players checked on the K river.

Okamura tabled 94 for kings and nines. Silver couldn't beat it and mucked — conceding the pot to Okamura.

Pupillo Thinks Better of It

Nick Pupillo raised from under the gun and action folded around to Joao Simao for a call from the big blind.

The flop was 8K9 and Simao check-called a bet from Pupillo to see 8 on the turn.

Both players checked the turn to see 10 on the river. Simao fired out a bet and Pupillo gave it a moment of thought before he tossed his hand in the muck to give up the pot.

Kelsall Wins Without Showing

AJ Kelsall raised from early position and was called by David Lieberman on the button and Ben Yu in the big blind.

Yu checked to Kelsall on the 5410 flop and he bet. Lieberman called, but Yu folded.

Kelsall continued for a bet on the 6 turn and Lieberman again called.

The 9 completed the board and Kelsall bet once more. This time Lieberman flashed the A before folding and Kelsall collected the pot.

Wasserson and Aldemir Bet to Win

Eric Wasserson raised from early before Cary Katz three-bet from middle position and Daniel Idema four-bet from the small blind. Wasserson and Katz called and the flop was J66. Idema fired a bet and both players folded quickly to give up the pot.

Nearby, Michael Moncek raised from middle position and Koray Aldemir called from the big blind. The flop was K6J and Aldemir checked. Moncek bet before Aldemir raised and that was good enough to force the fold. Aldemir took the pot.

Volpe called a bet from Klein on the 9106 flop and then raised a bet from Klein on the 8 turn. Klein called.

Klein check-called a bet from Volpe on the 2 river and Volpe showed 1010 for a flopped set of tens. Klein showed he held AA as he mucked and Volpe added to his stack.

Aldemir Gets There on Lieberman

Koray Aldemir raised on the button and was called by David Lieberman in the big blind.

Liberman check-called a bet from Aldemir on the AQ10 flop and then led out for a bet on the K turn. Aldemir raised and Lieberman called.

The 4 completed the board and Lieberman checked to Aldemir, who bet.

"I really want to call you," Lieberman said. "I flopped the nuts."

Lieberman did eventually call and Aldemir showed him Q3 for the nut flush.

Lieberman showed he held KJ for a straight and mucked — sending the pot Aldemir's way.
