A player in early position opened the action to 4,500 and it folded to Conrad Simpson in middle position who three-bet to 13,000. The rest of the table got out of the way and the initial raiser made the call.
The flop came 8♦8♣2♣ and the player in early position check-called a bet of 7,000 from Simpson. On the 7♠ turn both players elected on a check to the K♠ river.
The early position player checked a third time and Simpson moved all in, covering his opponents just over 40,000 stack, who went deep in the tank. After close to a minute, the early position player reluctantly let his cards go and the pot was shipped to Simpson without showdown.
