Lin Takes Down Pot, Adds Humor

Level 18 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Ren Lin Doubles Through Ausmus Two From Money
Ren Lin Doubles Through Ausmus Two From Money

Jeremy Ausmus and Ren Lin found themselves in a battle of the blinds, and it came with humor and fireworks.

A little back and forth preflop raising will tend to do that.

Ausmus made a bet that bloated the pot before cards were even on the board. Lin said “call” but moved in his entire stack in front of him. The tournament director came over and made the correct ruling of the call standing and instructed the dealer to give Lin back 25,000.

Ausmus and Lin took it in stride – with a few chuckles – and the tournament director instructed the dealer to run out the flop, which saw A109 on the board.

Ausmus checked, but Lin jokingly used a time chip bank before moving all in with his final 25,000. Ausmus, who had his opponent covered, made the call and the cards were tabled.

Ren Lin: AJ
Jeremy Ausmus: Q4

“What are you doing, Jeremy?” Lin said with a hearty laugh.

“Club draw,” Ausmus jokingly said as he pointed to the back door draw.

The flush, though, never came as the dealer placed 6 on the turn and 6 on the river.
