Pocket Aces Help Sternberg Make Huge Comeback
Level 32
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Jason Sternberg opened in early position for 950,000. The action folded to Alejandro Perez in the hijack who three-bet jammed all in for approximately 10,000,000 covering Sternberg. With the remaining players left to act all folding, it was up to Sternberg to make a decision for his tournament life. Flicking in one chip for a call, it transpired he was on the right side of a cooler.
Jason Sternberg: A♣A♥
Alejandro Perez: A♠K♥
The board ran out Q♥4♥7♦K♦4♦ propelling Sternberg to over twenty million chips having come back from only 700,000 chips not long before the dinner break.
Perez left with just over one big blind, bust a few hands later.
