Wong Busts Rotholz and Yu to Set Up Three Table Redraw

Hal Rotholz completed with a king showing and Jerry Wong called. Ben Yu then raised and Rotholz made it three bets for Wong to come along before Yu's reraise capped it three ways.

On fourth street. Yu bet his lead and Rotholz raised all-in for Wong to make it three bets, which Yu called with 10,000 behind. Yu got it in after fifth street for the rest of it and all cards were flipped. Wong had two shorter stacks at risk and hit a perfect runout with a six-five to knock out Rotholz and Yu, reducing the field to the last 23 players for the redraw of the last three tables.

Obst Gets Shorter; Yu Chips Up

James Obst bet on fourth street to get called by Michael Moncek while Adam Owen folded. Moncek took the lead on fifth and bet for Obst to call before the lead reversed on sixth once more, prompting a bet by Obst and call by Moncek.

On seventh, they checked and Obst showed the 10x7xXx for an eight-seven-six but the Jx8x7x of Moncek had made an eight-seven-five.

David Funkhouser survived an all-in showdown when Jerry Wong hit a king-high straight, a hand rather suited for Seven Card Stud.

Soon after, Ben Yu limped in and so did Wong with Tommy Hang as the bring-in checking. Yu bet fourth to get called by Wong only and bet fifth to force a fold.

George Alexander called when John Hennigan completed and then groaned when he picked up another high card on fourth, when he called another bet. "That's how I know it," Michael Noori joked. Alexander stuck around until sixth but folded with one bet behind.

"We were on even ground," Hennigan said and exposed his nine-seven in the hole.
