Shiller Scoops Another Big Pot

With the pot already standing at 8,000 a player in early position and Brendan Shiller in the hijack check the action over to the button after seeing a flop of 7♦5♠8♥.

The button fires out 3,500 which got rid of the early position player but prompted Shiller to raise the bet up to 9,000. The button called.

The J♦ allowed Shiller to continue with a bet of 6,000 which was also called by the button.

The river came 9♥ and Brenden fired for one last time to the tune of 25,000 prompting a fold and claiming this pot.

The under-the-gun player opened to 800 and was called by the button and Pamela Balzano from the big blind.

The initial raiser bet 1,200 on the K♠K♦6♦ flop and Balzano was the only caller.

The 9♥ turn then checked through to the 7♥ river. Balzano bet 1,600 and after some time, her opponent called. Balzano tabled her K♥2♥ for trip kings and scooped in the pot.

On the last hand before break, Steven "Cuz" Buckner limped in early position. There was a raise from the Lowjack to 600 and Buckner called.

The 10♣8♦3♦ flop had Buckner leading into the preflop raiser to 1400. Lowjack calls.

After the 10♠ turn Buckner kept the pressure on as he bet 3000 and the Lowjack called again.

The 6♥ river lands and Buckner opts to fire the last shell to the tune of 9000.

After a short tank the Lowjack laid down his hand.

"He tried to mess with me before break!" Buckner exclaimed as he rolled over the 10♦9♣ and pulled in a nice pot to get him back over starting stack.

The big blind check-called for another 800 on the Q♦9♣5♥ flop but then check-folded after Phung continued for 2,200 on the 2♠ turn.

Phung is one of the qualifiers by winning a WSOP bracelet at the WSOPE in 2022. He dominated the final table of the €550 Pot-Limit Omaha bracelet event, where he picked up the first-place prize of €55,132.

A player in the hijack raised to 500 met by the resistance of Jeff Platt on the button who three-bet to 2,000. Ryan Shinevare in the small blind came over the top for his remaining 7,300 chips. The hijack folded and Platt gladly snap-called.

Shiller continued for 12,000 on the 8♦ turn and his opponent folded.

Action was caught on the turn with the board reading A♣K♥Q♣9♥, with around 2,200 in the pot.

The under-the-gun player check-raised to 2,100 after Adam Thaggard bet 800 from the button. Thaggard responded with another raise, making it 6,100 to go. His opponent called.

The under-the-gun player had around 17,000 behind, and he checked. Thaggard then moved all in as the bigger stack, and after some thinking, his opponent called for his tournament life.

Thaggard had the nuts, with his J♥10♦ while his opponent had two pair with his A♠9♣. The latter then quickly left the table and headed for the exit.
