Shih Spikes Set on Flop

A player in late position raised 2,000, and then faced resistance from Justin Shih, who three-bet to 7,500. His opponent called to bring the flop.

The dealer fanned A♣Q♦K♥ on the board, and with it came fireworks.

Shih led out with 6,000, and his opponent came over the top by going all-in, covering Shih.

Shih, though, was undeterred and snap called.

Justin Shih: K♣K♦
Opponent: A♠Q♣

Shih drilled a set, while his opponent needed help. The 2♠ on the turn and 10♥ on the river gave Shih a double-up.
