Suzuki Falls To Katz

A-5 Triple Draw

Action was picked up with Ryutaro Suzuki all in and at risk against Cary Katz.

On the first draw, Suzuki drew one and Katz drew two.

"You're ahead right now," joked Katz as they peeled their first card. "I'm catching up though," he said as he drew only one on the second draw which saw Suzuki only draw one as well.

On the third draw both drew one and turned up their hands. Katz turned over 5x4x2xAx and Suzuki turned over 7x5x2xAx. Katz turned over 6x for a made six leaving Suzuki drawing dead as he turned over a 3x for a seven.

Katz took down the pot while the newly crowned bracelet winner left the area.

Justin Brown opened in the small blind and then called after Maxx Coleman three-bet out of the big blind.

Brown took two on the first draw and then checked after Coleman drew one. Coleman bet and was called.

As on the previous draw, Brown took two on the second draw but folded after Coleman patted and bet to concede the battle of the blinds.

Action was picked up after the second draw in a hand between John Monnette on the button and Senh Cong in the big blind.

Cong bet and Monnette raised which Cong called and both players stood pat on the final draw.

Cong checked to Monnette who bet and Cong raised which Monnette called. "Number six," said Cong, but Monnette turned over 76532 for number three and Monnette took down the pot.

Both players took one on the first draw with Ho subsequently check-calling a bet from James.

The second draw saw Ho draw one again while James stood pat. Ho checked once more and James bet, forcing a fold from Ho.

Hal Rotholz raised in first position and on the button Adam Friedman raised which Rotholz called.

On the first draw Rotholz drew two and Friedman drew one which saw Rotholz check call a bet from Friedman.

The second draw saw Rotholz stay pat and Friedman drew one which saw Rotholz bet and Friedman call.

Both players stood pat on the final draw which saw action check through and Rotholz showed 87543 for an eight seven which was good for the pot.

Zack Doubles Through Thorpe

Mike Thorpe opened from the small blind and Daniel Zack made the call in the big blind.

Thorpe took two to Zack's three on the first draw and followed that up with a bet. Zack made the call to send the action to the second draw.

On the second draw Thorpe drew one while Zack took two. Thorpe bet again and once more Zack called.

The final draw saw both players take one more card after which Thorpe bet. Zack, with just 2,000 behind, made the call and showed down 62A9 with Thorpe tabling 653. Thorpe peeled the A for his last card to hand Zack a full double.
