Schwartz Adds Some More

Level 15

2-7 Triple Draw

Jake Schwartz opened from the cutoff and was called by a player in the big blind.

The big blind took three on the first draw while Schwartz chose to draw two before betting after the big blind checked. His opponent made the call.

The second draw saw the big blind take two to Schwartz's one after which the same betting pattern as before was repeated.

On the final draw both players took one more card with action then going check-check. Schwartz tabled Kx7x5x3x2x, good enough to take down the pot and add to his already large stack.

Freund No Friend to Funkhouser

Level 14

2-7 Triple Draw

Picking up the action on the second draw, Alexander Freund in the big blind had David Funkhouser from under the gun all in and at risk. Both players took two cards on the second draw before doing the same on the final draw. Freund tabled 9x8x6x3x2x while Funkhouser turned over 8x5x4x2x. Needing to hit a three, seven, six or nine to survive, he was unable to do so, peeling Qx instead to send him out of the tournament short of the money.
