Ketendjian Puts Pressure on the Flop

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

In a heads-up raised pot, the flop showed A55 when Gevork Ketendjian first checked in the big blind and his opponent bet 1,000.

Ketendjian raised it to 3,000 and faced a reraise from his opponent worth 6,000. Ketendjian took a minute and bet 9,000, which was enough to make his opponent fold and win the pot.

Good River for Niste

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player in early position opened to 1,500 and got called by Mihai Niste in the small blind and the big blind player.

It checked to the initial raiser on the flop Q59, who bet 1,200. Once again Niste and the big blind called and the three players checked on the 10 turn.

A 8 hit the river and Niste led out with a bet of 2,500, only called by the initial player. Niste revealed Q8 for two pair, and his opponent sent KQ into the muck.

Tomescu Wins His Flip

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player in middle position had 8,300 chips remaining when he moved all in. Seated to his left, George Tomescu pushed all his chips into the middle as well for 18,000, but nobody called him, not even Maria Lampropulos in the big blind.

George Tomescu: QQ
Opponent: AK

A jack 8J743 was the only high card of the board. There was nothing to worry about for Tomescu, who sent his opponent to the rail.

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

At Katie Lindsay's table, the player under the gun opened to 1,200 and got called three times: by Ryan Laplante in early position, by the cutoff, and by the big blind.

On 597, the first two players to act checked to Laplante, who bet 5,000. The cutoff called, and all other players in the pot folded.

The 8 landed on the turn, and this time, it was the cutoff who bet 7,000. Laplante checked and called to see the Q on the river. He checked once again on this last street, and the cutoff checked back.

"Set," said Laplante, revealing 55. Hearing that, the cutoff threw his cards into the muck and saw the pot going into Laplante's hands.
