Big Double Up for Cady

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Bryan Cady started the action with a raise under the gun for 3,600. It folded to the small blind who called, but the big blind three-bet to 16,000. Only Cady stayed interested and called.

The flop revealed 8AJ and the big blind continued for 10,000. Cady jammed for a stack around 95,000 and after some thinking, his opponent eventually called:

Big Blind: AK

The big blind had top pair but Cady had hit two pair, and improved his hand into a full house after the board was completed with 2J to claim the large pot.

Pierre Merlin shoved from under the gun to 11,500, and he was called by Domenico Paparo in middle position. On his left, the player in the hijack then went all in for 34,000, and the cutoff called his stack.

The action returned to Paparo, who had the largest stack of all players involved in the pot. And he also decided to go all in. The cutoff player decided to join the action as well.

Pierre Merlin: 87
Hijack: AA
Cutoff: 88
Domenico Paparo: KK

Merlin was in a desperate situation in this hand. He was hoping for a straight, but he couldn't win the pot after the flop 5QJ.

Then, the turn revealed the K, giving Paparo a set and putting him in the lead. Finally, the river card was the 6, resulting in the elimination of the three players with the shortest stacks, just a few minutes before the end of the day.
