Glenn Checks His Way to a Full Double

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

A player in late position raised to 1,200 only getting called by Mike Glenn in the small blind to bring out the 6K5.

Glenn checked and then called a bet of 1,200 from the late position player, bringing out the A on the turn.

Glenn checked again and his opponent tossed out a bet of 3,600. Gless tossed in the call leading to an A river card.

Glenn checked once more and his opponent quickly announced all in. Glenn called off and turned over the AQ, prompting his opponent to quickly muck his cards and start counting out payoff chips to send Glenn's way.

No Showdown Needed for Meng

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

A player in middle position limped as did Dong Meng in the small blind. The big blind checked his option to bring out a K8A flop. Meng led with a bet of 1,400, getting a quick fold out of the big blind and a call from the player in middle position, taking both players to the 7 turn card.

Action checked through on the turn, bringing the K out on the river. Meng led again, this time for 3,100. The player in middle position said, "Big blind special, huh?" before folding the K10 face up in the middle of the table.

Meng quickly pushed his cards towards the muck and collected the pot without having to prove that he could beat the three kings of his opponent.

More Notables In The Field

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

French TV host Moundir Zoughari has made a name for himself in the poker world when he played the Triton Series in Cyprus earlier this year.

Zoughari was freerolling the $30,000 Mystery Bounty thanks to multi-millionaire Karl Chappé-Gatien who offered him his seat. He managed to cash and take a nice bounty of $85,000. Zoughari just arrived in Las Vegas, hoping for the same success in this WSOP festival.

Astrauskas Takes it Down on the Turn

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action folded to the button who raised to 900. The player in the small blind quickly made it 3,500 and was called by Arturas Astrauskas in the big blind. The button folded before the dealer spread the 6Q9 flop.

The small blind continued with a bet of 2,000, which Astrauskas called, leading to the K turn card.

The player in the small blind again led out, this time for 5,500. Astrauskas thought briefly before looking at his stack and counting out raising chips in the amount of 12,500.

The small blind player didn't muck immediately, but after about 30 seconds of consideration, he tossed his cards in the discard pile, conceding the pot to Astrauskas.
