Aaron Kupin completed from the small blind, Evgenii Fidchuk checked the big blind and the flop was dealt. It came JK8 and was checked by both players.

A Q on the turn also received two checks. The river was the 10 and after thinking for a moment, Kupin bet 120,000 and was called instantly by Fidchuk.

Kupin tabled A2 and his opponent mucked.

Ying Chan raised from the small blind to 130,000. Xuming Qi in the big blind defended.

On a flop of 6810, Chan continued for 120,000 and Qi called.

The 6 turn checked through to the 5 on the river. Chan opted to shove all in for his last 600,000.

Xi spent some time in the tank before finally deciding to throw one chip in for the call.

Qi called down with second pair to send Chan to the rail.

The 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicked off back on May 30, and now bracelet winners are being minted every day. The PokerNews Live Reporting Team has been busy capturing all the action in our live updates, and they’ve witnessed some hands go down that proved to be either entertaining, game-changing or just flat out brutal.

Among those to play big hands were Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel, Thomas Eychenne, Shannon Fahey, and Robert Williamson III. There were some truly bad beats in big spots that you don't want to miss.

Patni Boats Up

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Alexander Yen in the small blind, bet around 90,000 on a flop of 299. He was called in the big blind by Kunal Patni.

The turn came 6 and Yen fired again, for 125,000. Again Patni called.

A 6 fell on the river and This time Yen checked. Patni checked how much Yen had behind and bet 200,000. After a short think, Yen called. Patni showed 68 for a full house and Yen tossed his cards in the muck.

Sitbon Doubles Through Pandolfo

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Julien Sitbon raised from the cutoff to 80,000. Rafael Pandolfo in the big blind three-bet to 205,000 and Sitbon responded with a four-bet jam to 1,090,000. Pandolfo snap-called.

Pandolfo pulled behind in this race as the first three cards came A56. The turn and river brought the 8 and 4 respectively and the Sitbon found a crucial double up.

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Ying Chan raised to 60,000 from early position. Action folded to Ian Hirasa on the big blind, who went all in for 360,000. Gabriel Moura called and covered. Chan got out of the way.

The board ran out K28A4 which was as stress-free as Hirasa could have hoped for — and he took a welcome double up.

Appleberry Goes For It All

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Hon Cheong Lee raised under the gun to 60,000, finding Ryan Appleberry in the big blind, who defended.

On a flop of 1054, Appleberry check-called a bet of 40,000 from Lee.

The 2 on the turn checked through to the 6 on the river. Appleberry opted to shove all in for approximately 250,000 and Lee made a quick fold.
