The sharp-as-a-tack 91-year-old had outlasted over 2,900 runners to make it deep into the money. The nonagenarian collected $2,559 for his efforts.

Barnhart Slows Down Eskandari

Hollis Barnhart told the table he "had a good feeling about this one" and moved his remaining 113,000 into the middle, finding a call from defending champion Massoud Eskandari on the button.

Haddad Crashes Out of Super Seniors

After losing the lion's share of their stack to Anthony Johnson, John Haddad moved all in for 30,000 from the hijack and was called by Kevin Song in the small blind.

Haddad was happy to have two live cards but was virtually drawing dead after the flop of A104 gave Song top pair and a flush draw. The 8 on the turn left Haddad with nowhere to go and exited the tournament after the 3 completed the board.

Schneider Raises in Battle of Big Stacks

Kevin Durgin raised to 30,000 in the cutoff and was called by Stephen Schneider in the small blind.

Both players checked the 43J flop before Schneider tapped the table again on the 5 turn.

Durgin slid out a bet of 25,000 but was quickly raised by Schneider to 100,000. Durgin took some time before making the fold, as Schneider added more chips to his growing stack.

Anthony "Tony Mercedes" Johnson was all in for his tournament life for 120,000 in the cutoff. John Haddad on the button made the call and covered Johnson.

Haddad was crushed by Johnson's pocket aces and was drawing dead after the turn as the board ran out 456A4 to give Johnson aces full of fours to double Johnson up and to send Haddad to the rail.

Johnson, who is better known as Tony Mercedes in the music industry made a deep run in the Seniors Championship. He will be looking to go further this time round as a WSOP gold bracelet would compliment two Grammy Awards nicely.

Bord Shove Gets Through

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The player in the cutoff bet 25,000 and was called by Brian Bord on the button.

The flop came K42 and the cutoff bet 10,000. Bord responded with a shove of 70,000 which put the cutoff in the tank. Eventually, the cutoff folded and the Tottenham Hotspur fan Bord dragged in the pot.
