Hazdovac Cracks Aces and Gets Massive Double Up

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

There was 110,000 in the middle on a flop of Q83 and Mark Gerecke bet 130,000 from the small blind. Nina Hazdovac in the big blind made the call while Robert Whalen on the button opted to fold.

Gerecke checked the K turn which invited Hazdovac to bet 150,000, which was called by Gerecke.

The 7 came on the river and Gerecke grabbed a handful of 100,000 lavenders and bet enough to put Hazdovac all in for 350,000. Hazdovac made the call.

Gerecke turned over AA, but was beaten by Hazdovac's KQ for two pair and secured a huge double up.

Karle Wilson moved all in from early position for 290,000 as action folded around to Greg Mayberry, who called to put him at risk.

Mayberry had woken up with aces and Wilson was at serious risk of elimination as the 4K6 flop gave him some hope.

Those hopes were dashed as the board ran out 65, sending him to the payout desk.

Short Polen Eliminated

Steven Polen who had less than three big blinds moved all in for 55,000 from early position. Alan Goehring in the big blind with 40,000 already invested in the pot felt that he had no option but to call.

Polen got it in good but Goehring spiked a four on the turn on the completed board of J774Q to send Polen to the rail.

Underwood Has Markholt Out-Kicked

Heads-up on a flop of 982, Lee Markholt bet 30,000 from the big blind and button Dennis Underwood called.

The turn came the A and Markholt checked this time. Underwood came out with a bet of another 30,000 and Markholt called.

The J fell on the river and Markholt checked again. Underwood quickly checked back and Markholt turned over A10. Underwood, though, had AK to win the pot.

Lane Runs Into a Cooler

With around 500,000 already in the middle on a flop of 344, Ronald Lane bet 350,000 from the button and Jimmie James, in early position, called for his last 335,000.

Lane, at risk of losing a significant portion of his stack, saw the Q fall on the turn followed by the A river as James earned the massive double up.

"Bad flop for you," a tablemate told Lane following the hand.

Three-Way All In Boosts Dunbar and Boots Huschle

Frank Huschle moved all in for around 130,000, Joel Rosenberg reshoved in the cutoff, and button Mark Dunbar called all in for his last 280,000.

Dunbar was poised to win the pot with his pocket queens as the board ran out 895J5, keeping him in the lead and securing his double up. Huschle, meanwhile, was left standing by his seat waiting for a payout slip.

Schleicher Doubles Through Trujillo

All the chips went into the middle with Gerhard Schleicher at risk for 155,000 in the big blind against Federico Trujillo on the button.

Schleicher held a narrow advantage and despite Trujillo picking up a gutshot on the J94 flop, the Argentinean couldn't find a card to eliminate the German as the board ran out 3A to complete a double up for the Schleicher.

Hollman Spikes the River on Skiarski

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Three-handed on a flop of 5Q10, Rick Hollman bet 125,000 from the button and Kevin Song called in the big blind, as did Enrique Skiarski in middle position.

The turn came the A and Song checked over to Skiarski, who pushed all in for 200,000. Hollman immediately reshoved and Song folded.

Hollman had turned two pair, but found out the bad news when Skarski turned over his straight. The river, though, brought the Q and Hollman made a full house to send Skiarski to the rail.

In the first hand of the day, Scott Faulkner moved all in from early position for 250,000 and was called by Ronald Lane in the big blind.
