Action was checked to Pushpinder Singh in the hijack with the board showing K♣A♠9♦7♥ and approximately 1.6 million in the pot. Singh moved all in for just under the amount of the pot. Charles Honkonen considered his options for a bit before deciding to make the call.
Pushpinder Singh: A♣Q♦10♠9♣
Charles Honkonen: A♦K♠Q♥4♥
Singh received no help from the 8♦ river, and he was sent away in 12th place.
Eran Carmi raised to 225,000 from early position and after it was folded around, Sheddy Siddiqui three-bet to 640,000 from the big blind. Carmi then announced "all-in" and Siddiqui called.
Sheddy Siddiqui: Q♠Q♦
Eran Carmi: A♣K♠
The 9♠6♦3♠ flop offered no help to Carmi, as did the 8♣ turn. Carmi was one card away from taking the first big hit to his chip lead for the day, but the K♦ on the river would save him and send Siddiqui to the payout desk.
Matthew Bretzfield, in early position, bet the pot. William Nguyen, in middle position, raised all in for approximately one million. Bretzfield made the call.
William Nguyen: A♣A♠K♦K♠
Matthew Bretzfield: 9♣8♠7♣7♠
Bretzfield flopped the nut straight on the 10♦8♦6♦ board, and a 3x on the turn sealed Nguyen's fate as he exited in 13th.
Robert Wells moved all in for his last 160,000 from middle position. Upeshka De Silva called from the small blind, as did Charles Honkonen from the big blind.
The 6♠5♣5♠K♦Q♥ board was checked through, and all cards were tabled.
Robert Wells: J♠8♥7♣6♣
Upeshka De Silva: Q♠10♠7♦6♦
Charles Honkonen: 8♠4♠4♣4♦
De Silva's queen made the difference, and Wells headed for the payout window in 14th place.
Action caught up on the turn on a board reading K♣9♠J♦6♥ in hand between Upeshka De Silva in the big blind and Robert Wells in late position.
Wells put out a bet of 750,000 after De Silva checked. De Silva called.
De Silva checked once more on the 3♦ river and Wells moved all in for 1,375,000, sending De Silva deep into the tank. After around three minutes of deliberation and a clock call, De Silva made the call.
Upeshka De Silva: Q♥J♠J♣7♥
Robert Wells: 10♦10♣2♠2♦
Wells made a valiant effort to move Upeshka off of a set of jacks, but De Silva made an equally impressive call for his tournament life, getting the full double as a reward.
Short on chips, Jarred Solomon moved all in from late position for roughly 775,000 and was called by Rajendara Dhar in the big blind.
Jarred Solomon: A♣7♣
Rajendara Dhar: A♥K♣
Unfortunate timing for Solomon, as he would run into the dominating ace of Dhar, but the door would open slightly as both players flopped a pair on the 7♦K♠4♠ flop, however the running 8♦ and 8♥ river would send Solomon to the payout desk.
With the board showing K♥A♦8♣5♥, P.J. Cha checked from the big blind. Robert Mizrachi, under the gun, tossed in a bet of 140,000. Cha raised all in for 365,000, and Mizrachi immediately called.
P.J. Cha: K♠5♠
Robert Mizrachi: 8♠8♦
Mizrachi's set had Cha's two pair dominated. Unfortunately for Cha, the Q♦ river did not upgrade his hand, and he exited the tournament in 18th.
Lahmani was all-in against Robert Wells on a flop reading 5♦10♠2♥, with Lahmani the player at risk.
Oshri Lahmani: Q♥10♣8♣7♥
Robert Wells: A♠A♥Q♦3♥
It was top pair for Lahmani, but he was still behind the over pair of aces for Wells.
The 9♣ turn would give the players quite a sweat, as it would increase the outs for Lahmani, but the A♦ river would seal the deal for Wells and send Lahmani to the payout desk.
