Ferreira Hero Calls with Cowboys

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Douglas Arauj Ferreira opened to 35,000 from under the gun and received calls from Nozomu Shimizu on the button and a player in the big blind.

The big blind and Ferreira both checked the A39 flop. Shimizu bet 35,000, folding out the player in the big blind. Ferreira made the call.

Ferreira check-called another bet from Shimizu for 85,000 on the A turn.

The river was the J. Ferreira checked and Shimizu fired a third barrel, this time for 275,000. Ferreira went into the tank, separating calling chips and counting out what his stack would be at if he called and was wrong. Eventually, Ferreira stuck in the call.

Shimizu showed down Q10 for a pure bluff. Ferreira showed KK to take down one of the biggest pots of the tournament so far.
