Rodrigues Quarters Gupta
Level 25
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Michael Rodrigues raised to 175,000 on the button and Ashish Gupta defended his big blind from his short stack.
On the 4♦2♦5♦ flop, Gupta moved his last couple hundred thousand into the middle and got snap-called by Rodrigues.
Ashish Gupta: A♣J♠3♣2♣
Michael Rodrigues: A♦Q♦J♥3♥
Gupta wondered audibly what happened to the ragged nine-high hands like the one that had shrunk his stack earlier, because this time, Rodrigues had just flopped a wheel and the nut flush against his own wheel.
The board completed 7♠9♣ and Gupta was quartered and left with crumbs with just a couple of hands to go in the night.
