Young and Russo; Same but Different
Level 38
: Blinds 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante
Michael Young went all in from early position and was called by Louis Russo, who had about the same sized stack.
Michael Young: A♠K♦
Louis Russo: A♣K♠
The flop was innocuous as it fanned out Q♣K♣4♥, but when the 5♣ rolled off it gave Russo a chance to scoop, as he had just picked up the nut flush draw. The river was a sigh of relief for Young as the 10♥ came off the top of the deck.
Just two hands later Young went all in through his own initiative but just picked up the blinds, showing A♠Q♥.
