Kornuth Surrenders to Smith's Shove

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Chance Kornuth and Dylan Smith built a pot of more than 300,000 heading to the turn on a board of 885J.

Both players checked and the A fell on the river. Kornuth, in the cutoff, bet 135,000 this time as action went on Smith on the button.

Smith began twirling his chips between his fingers as he tanked for nearly the full 30 seconds before he moved all in. He barely had to touch his chips before Kornuth threw his cards into the muck.

Alaei Smacks the River to Dent Yankov's Stack

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Heads-up on a flop of 5Q6, Krasimir Yankov bet 18,000 from early position before Daniel Alaei, in the big blind, raised to 100,000. Yankov then moved all in and Alaei called for his last 165,000.

Daniel Alaei: Q1062
Krasimir Yankov: KQ87

Alaei was in the lead with two pair heading to the 8 turn, where Yankov made a better two pair to jump out in front.

Poised for a knockout, Yankov saw the 6 fall on the river as Alaei made a full house to earn a double up.

John Hennigan recently registered for the tournament and took his seat at this table.

Wang Takes Four-Way Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
David Wang
David Wang

David Wang raised to 14,000 from under the gun and Conrad De Armas intended to call but put in too many chips. Some of the players at the table wanted to call the floor but De Armas was eventually allowed to take back the extra he had put in the pot.

Wang received two other callers, including Sam Soverel in the big blind, as they went four ways to the 5KK flop. All four players checked.

The 7 fell on the turn. This time Wang bet 15,000 and only De Armas called. The river came the 8 and Wang now bet 60,000.

De Armas snap-called but mucked when Wang showed AKJ7 for a full house to take down the pot.

Riordan Gets Paid by Chiesa

Level 6 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

With around 240,000 already in the pot on a board of A9K9, John Riordan bet 75,000 from the small blind and Dominick Chiesa called in early position.

The river came the 9 and Riordan, almost completely covering his face with his hoodie, tanked for nearly 90 seconds and used up two time banks before emerging with a bet of 125,000.

Now it was Chiesa's turn to tank as he also used two time banks. He eventually called and Riordan turned over AA63 for a full house to take down the massive pot.

Jeremy Ausmus had to reenter earlier and took his seat at this table, now on his second bullet.
