When the 3♦ fell on the river, the small blind checked and Hughes tossed out a 7,000 bet. The middle position player called only to see the small blind player come in for a check-raise to 25,000.
Hughes thought briefly before jamming for 112,000 total.
The middle position folded and the small blind followed suit, awarding a pot to Hughes that had suddenly gotten quite big after checking through both the flop and turn.
